The Art Scene Behind:
This ethereal delicate look is inspired by Peter Stephens’ Quadrivium. Stephens, a Buffalo-based artist, explores the possibility of the interaction between lines and diverse colors. Quadrivium is an abstract art piece, emphasizing the lash of visual sensory, creating a new vision of the “red world”. Instead of representing an accurate depiction of visual reality, abstract art emphasizes the sense of visual illusion by using shapes, colors, lines, and patterns. This elegant dress, carried with the principle of abstract art, aims to create the sensory illusion and perfectly brings sensory enjoyment to everyone who sees it.
About Artist Peter Stephens
Peter Stephens is a Buffalo-based artist, who keeps exploring the possibility of the interaction between lines and diverse colors. He has been known for his paintings using 19th-century photography to develop ideas on history, memory, landscape, and meaning.
In recent years, he is interested in cosmology, space science, and physics, out of which have evolved paintings that explore scale and fundamental processes in nature, an abstract landscape space of color and collage. His work is in several museum collections, including the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, the Burchfield-Penney, and the Castellani Art Museum in Western New York, as well as the Brooklyn Museum.
